I always want to write my poems in a way that shows real life. Real emotion. A real person behind the pen. Robert Frost and Dr. Seuss seem to be the only poets any young person has heard of, and they seem so distant. They seem like epic heroes who fight with metaphors and similes to achieve masterpieces. But what about the person they were. Can we be remembered as poets, but more importantly as people? I want to find out.
